About Our Name
Words have meaning and names have power.

When thinking about what to call ourselves, we wanted something that would be meaningful. Now we could have been trendy and called ourselves something like Red Hippo Designs, or we could have been pretentious and called ourselves Epic Studios.

We wanted the people of Northern Louisiana to know that we take pride in where we live.

We wanted our clients to know that we are just another part of the community. A group of designers and developers looking to help make our little part of the world run just a little smoother. A team of professionals dedicated to helping produce quality results for our friends, neighbors, and fellow business owners.

And here we have the dreaded "About Us" section. This is where we tell you something spectacular about ourselves. How we are "better" than all the other design firms in the universe. How without us and our mighty design powers* there is no way consumers will ever notice you. Maybe we could sell you on our mind-bending creativity and superior strategies and how it will bring you and your company unlimited wealth and success. We might even toss in that we have found the "secret" that will solve all your problems.

The truth is this. We are good at what we do. We will complete your job quickly, and to your specifications. We will not try and sell you something unless we believe it benefits your business and the goals you are trying to accomplish.

Our Process
We help you help yourself.

We have a three-step process here at Element 318 that has proven to be successful and efficient time and time again. We call this the 3D process.

Discuss. Design. Develop.

Step One: Discuss

This step begins when you approach Element 318 with your ideas. From there we hold an initial brainstorm meeting and identify the specific needs of your project. Once the needs are determined, we will present a detailed contract outlining the services we will be providing. Once a contract is signed, we move on to step two. Step one can include:

• Project Initiation
• Brainstorming and Introduction
• Contract Signing
• Identity Development (if applies to project)
• Logo Definition (if requested)
• Wire-Framing, Detailing Layout and Functionality of Pages (if web project)

Step Two: Design

In step two we begin building a mock-up of the project. We will translate your ideas into a concise and functional product. Once you approve the intial design, whether it be print or for the web, we will begin the final development phase. Step two can include:

• Design of Project
• Review of Project Time Frame
• Client Approval of Design
• Search Engine Optimization (if web project)

Step Three: Development

No matter the project, this is the step where the project comes to life. If we are doing a print job, this step is fairly simple. With a web project we will begin programming your website, adding all the bells and whistles, and really bringing the project to life. Whatever job we are doing for you here, we will always keep you updated on the status of your project. Step three can include:

• Web Programming
• Final Content Review
• Printing
• Problem Solving, if needed
• Testing (brower compatibility, etc.)
• Constant Status Updates of project
• 30-Day Debug (tweaks and fixes as needed)
• Maintenance Agreement (optional)
• Project Completion / Site Launch
